As a church we want to be there for people at all times of life. However, at key times our church can be involved in a special way, with services for the birth of a child, with weddings and with funerals.
Baptisms and Thanksgivings
We regularly offer baptisms and thanksgiving services. We help you to decide which service is more suitable, and we want to make it an enjoyable and accessible experience
Weddings
We love performing weddings in our beautiful church. The website yourchurchwedding.org will help you to understand some of the rules surrounding church weddings. We offer support and guidance through the legalities. We also want you not only to have a special wedding day, but a fulfilling and life long marriage. For this reason we offer marriage preparation to enrich your relationship before your big day.
Funerals
We have a team of clergy who regularly take funerals either in church or in crematoria. We work with funeral directors and families to celebrate the life of loved ones and offer Christian hope for the future. We are keen to support families at a difficult time by offering ongoing pastoral support.
On the 1st Friday of every month, there is a Bereavement Group where you can come along and chat over a cup of tea. It is 2-3pm in The Coffee Shop, 151 Castle Road West, B68 0EL. Also twice a year we invite bereaved families into church for a memorial service.
